Explore your creativity in Beijing this summer! Described as one of China's greatest cultural and artistic centers, Beijing provides an exciting and ideal setting to immerse yourself in one of the oldest and most creative, progressive civilizations in history: Study the ancient art and architecture in the city's opulent palaces, temples, and pagodas, take a leisurely stroll through the Gate of Heavenly Peace and take the underground tunnel beneath Dongchang'an Jie to Tiananmen Square, relive part of China's golden past on a visit to the Forbidden City and the Great Wall, or spend an afternoon sitting under the cherry blossoms at one of Beijing's ancient imperial gardens.
During our summer creativity workshop in China, you will be immersed in a variety of intense, interactive experiences that will challenge you to explore and define your personal and creative goals as well as to develop a deeper awareness of your creative potential, challenges, and strengths.
The workshops provide tools, techniques, and strategies that you will be able to apply throughout your personal and professional lives to continuously foster your own creative spirit and work and to make a positive impact in your own life and on the lives of others.
The cost of tuition is $1,250 per workshop and does not include accommodations or airfare and other travel expenses.
The workshop will be held at The Ascott Beijing from June 28 - July 3, 2009.
The workshop will meet from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
We recommend that you stay at the workshop hotel. But you may also choose to stay at any other location in the city. We have held a limited number of rooms at the workshop hotel which are available to students on a first come, first served basis. Please contact the hotel directly to book your room. Be sure to mention The CREO Institute in order to access our block of rooms.

You will receive a workshop status email in early to mid-March. On rare occasions, The CREO Insitute has been unable to operate a seminar due to low enrollment, security concerns, or other reasons. Therefore, it is The CREO Institute's policy that participants should not purchase plane tickets until an official confirmation of seminar operation has been sent. The CREO Institute is not liable for any airline cancellation or change fees.
Visa Information
Please note that American citizens need to acquire a tourist visa in order to enter China. It is recommended that you apply for your visa several months in advance in order to ensure that you receive the visa with plenty of time before you depart for Beijing. For more information, you can visit the website of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the U.S. If you have a non-U.S. citizenship, please inquire about the specific visa requirements for your country of citizenship.
Airfare

Please note that June, July, and August are the busiest tourist times in Beijing. We recommend that you book your flights and hotel rooms as soon as possible to ensure that you obtain economical fares and a good hotel room at a fair price.
Travel Insurance
You should consider purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself against any unexpected circumstances that could prevent your workshop attendance. We recommend purchasing a travel insurance plan that will cover medical and dental emergencies, trip cancellations, missed connections, and lost baggage.
