The Jane Goodall Institute

Founded by renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, JGI is a global nonprofit that empowers people to make a difference for all living things. We are creating healthy ecosystems, promoting sustainable livelihoods and nurturing new generations of committed, active citizens around the world.

Mission
The Jane Goodall Institute advances the power of individuals to take informed and compassionate action to improve the environment of all living things.

The CREO Institute is supporting the following JGI Programs:

Drops of Life
The JGI is committed to improving the health of local people by investing in spring protection, shallow wells, ventilated improved pit latrines, and health training. JGI's goal is to ensure that every person in the villages surrounding Gombe has access to at least 30 liters of fresh, clean water each day. Donations are used to construct new wells and build new water management systems that will help these villagers for years to come.

Tree Preservation
The Jane Goodall Institute has developed stoves made from local materials which are 60 percent more fuel-efficient. Time is saved and so are trees. Donations provide a family with a fuel-efficient cook stove and empower families to improve their economic situation while helping to preserve critical forest habitat for chimpanzees.

Conservation Education
Help young, disadvantaged students and street-children discover the beauty and wonder of their own natural treasures. Donations help JGI bring a group of children to visit the Tchimpounga Reserve in the Republic of Congo by means of a special environmental education program.
