One Drop Foundation

The One Drop Foundation is a non-profit organization born out of the dream of Cirque du Soleil founder, Guy Laliberté, to fight poverty worldwide by ensuring that everyone across the planet has access to water, now and in the future. The Foundation and its partners believe that every human being has a right to safe drinking water and that we all have the power to preserve this precious resource for future generations.

The One Drop Foundation believes that by pooling our imagination and willpower, we can make possible the impossible. One drop at a time, one step at a time.

Our Action
Water issues are global, and the actions of all people everywhere in the world are interdependent. This is why the One Drop Foundation’s actions focus both on Southern countries facing urgent problems and Northern countries where per-capita water consumption is very high.

The One Drop Foundation’s actions complement the many initiatives of organizations and individuals all over the world. The ONE DROP difference lies in the use of popular education through the arts and the Foundation’s contribution to sustainable solutions for communities. Through this approach, One Drop seeks to raise awareness of water issues among the greatest possible number of people, fostering the sharing of wealth and the mobilization of everyone.

Our Mission
The One Drop Foundation's mission is to fight poverty around the world by giving everyone access to water, today and tomorrow.

What We Do

• Work with local communities to carry out technical and educational projects in developing and developed countries
• Support and encourage people the world over, and especially youth, to mobilize and take action on water issues
• Encourage companies to donate 1% of their profits—and individuals, 1% of their income—to help combat poverty in the world
• Engage public authorities on issues related to water
